Rodger Floyd

Rodger and Connie Floyd, owners of the funeral home, were married on June 23, 1973 in Peru, Kansas and to this marriage three children, Jason, Tammy and Mandy were born. Rodger and Connie are proud of the fact that all three children attended Cushing schools and graduated from Cushing High School. Jason lives in Cushing and works for Basic Energy; Tammy lives in Tulsa with her husband Brian Andrews, of Oak Grove, and works for TD Bank and Brian works for Level 3 Communications; Mandy lives in Cushing with her husband Jeremy Lemmon and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer for the Davis Funeral Home and Jeremy works for TransCanada. Rodger and Connie are also proud grandparents of Jason’s son, Koby Floyd, who attends the Cushing Middle School, Tammy's children, Abby and Brayden Andrews, who attend Jenks West and Mandy's children, Brailee Floyd who attends Harrison Elementary, Dane Lemmon who attends Cushing Middle School, Tennessee Lemmon who attends Cushing High School and Dutch Lemmon and his wife, Lauren, of Bristow. 

Rodger Floyd is a 1972 graduate of South Elk High School, Grenola, KS; he received his Associate of Arts Degree in 1977 from Coffeyville Community Junior College and his Associate of Applied Science from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Service in 1978. Rodger served his apprenticeship with the Luginbuel Funeral Home and received his Funeral Director and Embalmer's license in September of 1979.

In March of 1980, Rodger and Connie moved to Cushing where Rodger worked for Leo Davis at the Davis Funeral Home. Upon Leo’s death in 1984, Rodger and Connie purchased the funeral home from the Davis family. Mary Alice Davis stayed on as a Funeral Director for several years, until her health caused her to quit.

Rodger and Connie are members of the First Baptist Church in Cushing, where Rodger is a deacon. Both taught Sunday School classes and were Keenager Directors for several years.

Mandy Floyd-Lemmon

Mandy Floyd-Lemmon moved to Cushing as a young child with her family. She was raised in Cushing. After graduation, Mandy continued her education at Austin College in Sherman, TX. She received her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Mandy later attended the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service and received her Associates Degree in Applied Science. Mandy was married to Jeremy Lemmon on December 13, 2014. They have four children; Brailee Mai, who attends Harrison Elementary, Dane Lemmon who attends Cushing Middle School, Tennessee Lemmon who attends Cushing High School and Dutch Lemmon and his wife, Lauren, of Bristow. Their family attends Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Tommy Johnson

Tommy Johnson is a longtime resident of Cushing. Tommy is married to Ruth Ann. He is employed as a part-time associate of the Davis Funeral Home assisting with funerals and visitations. Tommy is a retired employee of the City of Cushing. He is a long time member of the Park Place Baptist Church.

Carol Smith a lifetime resident of Cushing.  Carol is employed as a part-time associate with the Davis Funeral Home assisting with visitations. Carol is a retired employee of Oklahoma State University.

Larry Murphree

Larry Murphree has been a resident of Cushing since 2002. Larry is employed as a part-time associate of the Davis Funeral Home assisting with funerals and visitations. He is married to Kelly (Myers) Murphree and they have two children, Karly and Dylan.  Larry is a retired employee of Verizon and Kelly works for Drumright Dental Center.  He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Cushing.
