Rodger and Connie Floyd, owners of the funeral home, were married on June 23, 1973 in Peru, Kansas and to this marriage three children, Jason, Tammy and Mandy were born. Rodger and Connie are proud of the fact that all three children attended Cushing schools and graduated from Cushing High School. Jason lives in Cushing and works for Victory Energy; Tammy lives in Overland Park, KS with her husband Brian Andrews, of Oak Grove, and works for U.S. Central Credit Union as a Senior Applications Analyst and Brian works for Payspot, a Euronet World Wide Co. as an Account Manager; Mandy lives in Cushing and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer for the Davis Funeral Home. Rodger and Connie are also proud grandparents of Jason’s son, Koby Floyd, who attends the Wilson School and Mandy’s daughter, Brailee Floyd.
Rodger Floyd is a 1972 graduate of South Elk High School, Grenola, KS; he received his Associate of Arts Degree in 1977 from Coffeyville Community Junior College and his Associate of Applied Science from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Service in 1978. Rodger served his apprenticeship with the Luginbuel Funeral Home and received his Funeral Director and Embalmer's license in September of 1979.
In March of 1980, Rodger and Connie moved to Cushing where Rodger worked for Leo Davis at the Davis Funeral Home. Upon Leo’s death in 1984, Rodger and Connie purchased the funeral home from the Davis family. Mary Alice Davis stayed on as a Funeral Director for several years, until her health caused her to quit.
Rodger and Connie are members of the First Baptist Church in Cushing, where Rodger is a deacon. Both taught Sunday School classes and were Keenager Directors for several years. |

Mandy Floyd Mandy Floyd moved to Cushing as a young child with her family. She was raised in Cushing. After graduation, Mandy continued her education at Austin College in Sherman, TX. She received her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Mandy later attended the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service and received her Associates Degree in Applied Science. Mandy and her daughter, Brailee, attend First Baptist Church.

Wilmer Smith Wilmer Smith is a longtime resident of Cushing. Wilmer is married to Carol. He is employed as a part-time associate of the Davis Funeral Home assisting with funerals and visitations. Wilmer is a member of the First Baptist Church of Cushing serving as a deacon, working with the Food Bank, serving as a Sunday School teacher and department director. He has also participated on several committees of the Church. Wilmer can also be found on his tractor mowing at the Avery Cemetery.

Gerald Hall Gerald Hall is a lifetime resident of Cushing. He is employed as a part-time associate of the Davis Funeral Home assisting with funerals and visitations. Gerald also is a sales associate with Century 21 Realty. Gerald is a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Cushing serving as a deacon, past Sunday School Director, Sunday School teacher and is a participant on several committees of the Church.

A.C. Watkins A.C. Watkins is a former resident of Cushing, now residing in Owasso, OK. A. C. is married to Nadine. He is employed as a part-time associate of the Davis Funeral Home assisting with funerals and visitations. A. C. was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Cushing.
