Obituary for Cliff Miles

Clifford “Cliff” L. Miles, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Monday morning, November 12, 2018 at the age of 85 years.
The son of the late Clarence Edward Miles and Drexdall May Reedy Miles, Cliff was born on August 26, 1933 in Lindsay, Oklahoma; where he was also raised and educated, graduating from Lindsay High School.
Cliff was united in marriage to Modena Chadwick on December 9, 1955; she preceded him in death March 1982.
Cliff was drafted into the United States Army in January 1956 and honorably discharged in November 1957. During his time in the service, he played baseball in Italy; playing in the first game ever played in Italy.
Cliff owned the Pawnee Sale Bard for many years with Charlie Elliott; and worked with his close friend, JD Berry. He also officiated Big 8 Baseball for several years.
Survivors include his son, Craig Miles; grandsons, Conner Miles and Clifford Miles; one sister, Charlene; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and several close friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Cliff was preceded in death by four brothers, Troy, Bob, Harold and Jack.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Martin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery with honor guard being provided by the American Legion Post 108.
