Obituary for Patsy Gale Goad

Patsy Gale Goad was born on September 24, 1940 to Alton and Lorraine Brooks in Breckenridge, Texas. She passed from this life on Saturday, December 26, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years.
Patsy at the age of 18 years, started her longtime career in Nursing. She was employed with the Cushing Hospital for many years and retired in 2000 from Central Tech, teaching for over 20 years. She loved her students and teaching them the skills that they needed to be excellent nurses was her passion.
She was united in marriage to Jimmie Lee Goad on June 20, 1958 in Fairfax, Oklahoma and to this union two children, Rhonda and Pete were born. Jim preceded her in death on July 7, 2019.
Pat was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church; she loved spoiling her dogs; cooking; hosting family get-togethers, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her four grandkids. She was a clever, strong-willed woman who lived a full and beautiful life. Over the years, she has enjoyed spending time at the sand dunes with her friends, two-stepping to country music, and helping her husband and son look after their animals on the farm. She was loved and adored by all who knew her and she cared for her family very well.
She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Kannady of Broken Arrow; a daughter-in-law Shelly Goad of Cushing; four grandchildren, Mikayla Frech and her husband Matt of Edmond, Dustin Goad and his wife Paige of Oklahoma City, Jana Smith of Broken Arrow and Derek Smith of Tulsa; three sisters, Carolyn Bookout and her husband Wendell of Drumright, Joyce Jones and her husband Tom of Bartlesville, and Jan Payne of Skiatook; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jim, and one son Pete Goad.
Due to COVID, the family is having a private burial in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation to your local animal shelter in memory of Pat who was always the first to help an animal in need.
