Obituary for Ralph Leonard Fickess

Ralph Leonard Fickess, longtime Kendrick resident, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at his home at the age of 82 years.
The son of the late Ray Daniel Fickess and Willie Edith Slaton Fickess, Ralph was born on January 28, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and was raised and educated in Seminole, graduating from Seminole high school.
He was united in marriage to Annetta Holiday and to this union three children, Ralph, Virginia and Kimberly were born. He later married Genevieve Terrell and he gained a daughter Terry and a son Devin.
For the past 35 years Ralph had been employed with the National Fire and Safety Council. He enjoyed fishing, traveling the Country, camping, canoeing any river and will be remembered for someone that always enjoyed life to the fullest.
He is survived by his daughters, Virginia Wiggins and Kimberly Farrell both of Norman, Oklahoma, and Terry Estep of Spring Branch, Texas; one son Devin Terrill of Charleston, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Austin Wiggins, Summer Pryor, Chris Fickess, Emma Foo, Rheanna Combs, Justin Combs and Jackie O’Neill; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ralph Fickess; one sister Virginia Fickess and two brothers, Dutch and Douglas Fickess.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, October 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Davenport First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Mitchell, officiating.
