Robert “Bob” Madden, longtime Cushing resident passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 66.
He is the son of the late Peter Madden and Abbie Shaw Madden. Bob was born on May 22, 1953 in Schenectady, New York, and was raised and educated predominantly in the Wichita, Kansas area.
Bob worked in the oilfield industry most of his life. He loved the outdoors and spent a lot of his time fishing, hunting, woodworking, and playing golf; speaking quite often of his accomplishments on the golf course.
One of Bob’s greatest joys in life was rebuilding cars with his son Cliff. Bob also cherished the time he spent traveling with his family. He was a sports and music enthusiast and was known for his candor and argumentative skills.
While his three children were growing up, he was very active with the Cushing Youth Center program, helping coach soccer, baseball and softball.
He is survived by his children, Cliff Madden of Cushing, Cara Northcutt of Oklahoma City and Sara McClure and her husband Jeramey of El Reno, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Clouse officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, Oklahoma.
